Andy Zinn needed a website built that would help him establish his web presence and his expertise as a craftsman of fine wood furnishings. We started with a new logo idea at first and then took the logo that Andy used on his furniture, smoothed it out in Photoshop and using beautiful polished wood effect created a website design that models the time-tested techniques Andy uses to build his peices.

This design is implemented in the Site Builder by Powerhouse and the site is accessible here.

Howard Cagan contacted us to build a website for him for his company Gold Star Alpacas, LLC. Mr. Cagan sent us a list of websites with the items he liked about them and I came up with this design. It has an old tyme look and feel captured by the logo font and the sepia tones used.

This site was built to be edited in Site Builder by Powerhouse and can be viewed by going to GoldStarAlpacasLLC.com

Dr. Ed Wuensch's office manager came to us with a request to get their website - DrWuensch.com updated. So after movin the website to my hosting service, we set their website up to use the Site Builder by Powerhouse in order to build and maintain their website effectively and efficiently.

I redesigned their website to maintain a simple text based site. The website that they had been using was fairly out of date technology-wise and content-wise. The old design utilized a very search engine unfriendly design technology called frames.

Using much of the images from the previous website, I opted for a clean single page layout using more recent standards for design technology. The result is a simple but elegant design that is much more search engine friendly.

And now... they don't have to wait to get their website updated. They can log in and change it at anytime from any internet enabled location.

Lara of LarasCanineSolutions.com needed an inexpensive update. Her old website was not as quick or as eye-catching. The original design used a blue background with black arial text. Most of the site was laid out using tables. Her name wasn't featured very prominently and it was just a pain to try and update.

So, I cleaned out the old speed reducing, search engine unfriendly, javascript buttons and header image. I chose instead to use actual text for her website Name and description with an enlarged image header of the dogs she loves.

I added a tiled, textured background image to direct the visitor's eye to the content of the site and give it a foundation. I added a second level foundation in blue that appears to float on the page and finally I added a white round-cornered top layer that holds the all-important content of this website.

I upgraded the fonts with some header variety using Georgia for headers and drop case content starters and using 14 pixel Arial font. The overall result is a more readable and more "sticky" web site.

Skeg-Protector Sales Site

The Skeg-Protector.com website was a clean start. The owner had found a design he liked somewhere else and I used that design idea changing the color palette to greens and blues.

I selected Georgia for my font exclusively on this project because after studying the audience for this product there were less acquainted with the normal sans-serif fonts and more with the serif fonts like Times New Roman. Georgia is a good fresh substitute for Times New Roman and very readable. Since the audience is more used to print when reading, I chose Georgia.

I had already designed the Skeg-Protector Logo for the customer so incorporating it wasn't a challenge.

The Site uses Zen-Cart for everything. All the pages and, of course, shopping cart funtions are handled by Zen.

In an effort to keep the search engine spiders coming back and finding something new, I incorporated some fishing & boating news links using rss that link back to articles on the About.com website.

I will be continuing to develop this website to include an affiliate/partner program allowing their customers to sell the product and earn commission by telling their friends.

Torah Resource

This Christian Ministry has high quality teaching and ministry aids made available for believers who desire to submit to the Torah as an authentic expression of what it means to be like their Rabbi - Yeshua (Jesus).

I created this mock-up as an option for there use.

I used the colors they had selected, re-worked their logo into the header and used Georgia font for headings and most text. I kept their navigation system as it is - although it might be better suited broken down into a drop-down menu system of categories.

I implemented a "bread-crumb" system for ease of navigation as one goes deeper into the site.

Ultimately, I would use this basic layout for their forums area as well.

Power Up Radio

PowerUpRadio.org is designed to connect listeners to Christian praise music not written or performed by the larger Christian music industry. The artists featured here are smaller names with local followings in their respective cities and states.

This site is being designed to feature the radio broadcasts as well as artist information and songs for purchase.

The design is inspired by the logo name. When I heard about this idea I wanted to see someone worshiping outside of the box as it were. The idea that they are fully expressing their true desire to connect with their creator bringing glory to Him.

KeelShield.com asked for a website update and a new content management System to handle their Corporate Requirements.

I was inspired by the fact that their products were for boating products and so water droplets seemed like a natural. Also, they use the blue-green, yellow and blue in their product packaging - so that was helpful for the color choices.

HillCountryAlpacas.com knew exactly what they wanted when they called. They sent me a drawing of exactly what they wanted as far as layout. They even had their logo designed in Word Art and I was able to put together a simple website that met their expectations.

Deer Creek Family Camp

Deer Creek Family Camp has been one of my customers for quite a while. I have re-designed their website two times before. This was my first Flash header website design.

They wanted to have the feeling of camp on the homepage and they wanted to include one of the favorite songs.

I designed their logo 5 years ago and have used and re-used it as have they on business cards, t-shirts, jackets and shorts.

Jim Behling and his crew truly bring adventure to children's lives in a Christ-like environment at Deer Creek Camp. I believe I have captured that for them.
